Hi, I’m Laura Beth Broermann. I create original mixed media collage art by combining vintage materials, found objects, words, and textures into pieces with a story to tell.
With a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a career as a Graphic Designer and Creative Director, I can’t help but see the world through color, composition, and typography. That background shapes every piece I create... balancing the unexpected, finding connections, and turning forgotten little pieces of the past into something completely new.
My work is about reminders. To slow down, question everything, trust yourself, stay curious, and not take this whole human experience too seriously.
More than something to hang on your wall, it’s a personal reminder, a conversation starter, and a meaningful piece of a story that can be treasured for years to come.

Original pieces are one-of-a-kind, hand-signed, and include a letter of authenticity. Each piece is thoughtfully finished in a frame I personally choose, sometimes new and sometimes a vintage find given another chapter, selected to complement the artwork. Custom pieces are created with your words, memories, and meaning woven in. 'Secrets' Framed Original

This original mixed media collage is made from paper, acrylic paint, colored pencils, and hand-stitched embroidery thread. The stitching was sewn through watercolor paper, which was later adhered to museum-quality foam core with hand-painted yellow edges and mounted to acid-free mat board behind UV-protective glass.
Like most of my pieces, this one is made up of collected things with stories of their own. The bird came from a vintage photography magazine, and the illustrations were sourced from vintage children's books. The small metal piece extending from the artwork was once part of a broken earring of mine, and the strip of orange in the lower left corner is fluorescent paper.
The quote in this piece comes from Bob Parsons and immediately stuck with me.
I think about that idea often. Whether it's art, writing, gardening, cooking, relationships, or building a business, the things we spend time with slowly start revealing themselves to us. The longer we stay curious and keep showing up, the more we begin to understand the nuances, patterns, and little details that weren't visible in the beginning.
I believe expertise isn't something you arrive at overnight. It comes from paying attention, making mistakes, trying again, and putting in the time. Eventually, if you love something enough and stay with it long enough, it starts sharing its secrets with you.
